🌿 Soulful "Don’t Forget Me" Crackers

The Vergissmeinnicht (Forget-me-not) is a delicate alpine flower symbolizing remembrance, love, and the eternal bond between souls. When gently placed into food, it is believed to carry spiritual healing energy, inviting heart-centered connection and a sense of timeless presence.

(Raw/Vegan/Gluten-Free – Rich in Omega-3s & Heartfelt Intentions)

Ingredients (yields 1 tray of crackers):

  • 1/2 cup golden flaxseeds

  • 1/2 cup brown flaxseeds, crushed or ground

  • 1.5 cups filtered water

  • 1/2 tsp Himalayan salt (or to taste)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil or flax oil (optional, for smoothness)

  • 1 tsp lemon juice or apple cider vinegar (for brightness)

  • 1 tbsp sunflower seeds or sesame (optional crunch)

  • A small handful of fresh Schnittlauch flowers (chive blossoms) – petals only

  • A small handful of fresh Vergissmeinnicht (forget-me-not flowers) – petals only (make sure they are unsprayed and safe to eat)

Optional soul-boosters:

  • 1/2 tsp turmeric or beet powder (for color & health)

  • Pinch of black pepper (if using turmeric)

  • A few dried edible petals like calendula or cornflower for layering

🌀 Instructions:

  1. Soak the Seeds
In a bowl, combine golden flaxseeds and crushed brown flaxseeds with water. Let them soak for 4–6 hours or overnight. The mix will turn gel-like.

  2. Mix in Magic
Add salt, lemon juice, oil, and sunflower/sesame seeds. Stir well. Gently fold in chive blossoms and forget-me-not petals, keeping some for decoration on top.

  3. Spread with Intention
On a dehydrator sheet or a baking tray lined with parchment, spread the mixture evenly (about 3–5 mm thick). Use a spatula dipped in water to smooth it out.

  4. Decorate & Bless
Gently press extra blossoms on top for visual and emotional beauty. You can whisper a wish or intention as you do this. It's part of the ritual.

  5. Dehydrate or Bake

    • Dehydrator: Dry at 42°C (108°F) for 12–16 hours, flipping halfway through.

    • Oven: Bake at 100°C (210°F) for 1.5–2 hours, then flip and bake for another hour with the door slightly open for air circulation.

  6. Cool & Store
Let them cool completely. Break into heart-shaped shards if you like. Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
